xx.xx.xxxx : Subject has arrived in Midgar, about age 15. Brought to the academy by "Tseng" at age 16 and applied to the Turk program. Subject seemed very skilled from the beginning - however, multiple reports have come in about TR-0635 using different fighting techniques than what she is supposed to be taught at the academy. Updates will follow.xx.xx.0001 : Subject has successfully finished the program. ID no. is being updated to T-0635. She will be filling in the vacant position of sniper, effective immediately.xx.xx.0003 : T-0635 seems to be getting along very well with "Zack Fair". Surprising really, she doesn't seem to get along with people at all. Especially with "Reno" she always seems to be picking fights. The only people T-0635 seems to respect are "Tseng" and the son of the president, Rufus Shinra.
Additionally, T-0635 has repeatedly been caught at a bar at Sector 6' Wallmarket... She seems to have found a new hobby of sorts. Singing on a stage. She seems to think that none of her comrades know of her little "secret". She even goes by a different name - having taken on her old name Evangeline as a stage name.
xx.xx.0008 : T-0635 seems very troubled by Fair's death. Her principles are starting to crumble, she is starting to doubt her own decisions.

xx.xx.0010 : After the concerning spread of the geostigma-illness, T-0635 has fallen ill among countless others. At the age of 28 years, she has lost the battle against the sickness.

Angie doesn't get along with people easily. She is stoic, sometimes cynical, cold - it takes a lot for her to warm up to people and even more until she finally trusts them. She shows respect to almost no one - but she also doesn't expect any in return. Oftentimes, she lets her rifle or her knives speak for her.
However, there are a few people she... accepts, at least.

  • Reno. Second in Command of the Turks. Their relationship is not easy to say the least... One would think the Second in Command would be respected because of his rank - but no, Angie sees things differently. She seems to see Reno as arrogant, full of himself and annoying and she lets him feel it. But all in all he's not that bad, just annoying most times. She'd never let him get hurt on a mission though, someone's gotta save his ass when Rude is not around. But she'd never admit that.

  • Rude. Seems a lot more acceptable than his partner. He's alright to keep around, neither him nor Angie talk much, so things are always pleasantly quiet. He's alright in her opinion.

  • Cissnei and Elena. Cissnei and Elena are probably the Turks Angie gets along with best. Simply because they are ladies. Sometimes Angie really enjoys their company.

  • Rufus Shinra & Tseng. Probably the only two people in the entire Shinra building Angie actually respects. Tseng because he's the director, Rufus because he's the President. She really dislikes his weird ass dog though. Not to mention that Tseng recruited her back in the day, so she kind of seems him differently than the rest.

  • Cloud Strife (@makoinfusions). That one's a nuisance, almost as bad as Reno. Buuuuut apparently they have something in common: They both don't really like Reno. Does that make them friends? Companions?

  • Zack Fair. A SOLDIER who befriended Angie practically against her will, back when she was a rookie - it's impossible to not fall for his charming personality and his silly jokes. They have been dating for a short while - until Zack meets Aerith Gainsborough and they agree to end things and stay friends until the end.

  • Lyra Sypha Hewley (@Lyrahewley). Not someone Angie expected to befriend either - but Sypha somehow managed to sneak her way inside Angie's cold little heart and warm it up from within. Angie'd kill whoever hurts Sypha without any second thoughts.

  • Pyua Jundo (@LADYOFSECTORSIX). Her first and current girlfriend - and the owner of the bar Angie plays her concerts at. It's thanks to Pyua she could kick off her career in the first place.

Backstory

Pre-Crisis Core

Father from Wutai, Mother Banoran; Evangeline was born into a somewhat wealthy family in Banora. They weren't the richest, but they had it better than most at the time. After the loss of Evangeline's unborn sibling, her father - fugitive of the Wutai War - turned strict and abusive. In his eyes his now only child was supposed to bring wealth and success to the family and nothing else. There was no space for dreams - especially not for "silly thoughts about singing", how he called little Eva's dream of becoming a singer. The child grew up a soldier, no friends - her father taught her everything he knew about weapons and Close Combat. Her mother hated it, but she didn't dare raise her voice against her husband.Evangeline left her family when she was 16, heading to the big city of Midgar to pursue her dream. She snuck off one night and never returned. But her plan did not work out how she intended - one fateful night she ended up at Sector Six; Wallmarket. Inexperienced, she stumbled about, ending up in a more or less empty alley, completely lost at this point. Searching for a way back, she asked a group of men for help - who prompty turned out to be not as helpful as she had hoped they would be. Things turned into a fight once they started to grope the girl, Evangeline fought back. Her hard combat training paid off that night, none of the men ever got up again.
Unbeknownst to her, a man in a suit had been watching her, he later introduced himself as Tseng. This was how Evangeline got recruited.
Thanks to her experience the academy wasn't a challenge to Angie, how she since called herself, and she made it to a rookie Turk in no time. During her early rookie days she discovered a bar at Wallmarket. Not only did she end up befriending the owner of said bar during that time - but a funny, charming, yet a little foolish 3rd Class SOLDIER as well. His name was Zack, they got close pretty quickly - her icy demeanor didn't scare him off in the slightest.
And the girl from Banora suddenly had a friend.
They briefly became more than that, but it didn't really work out for either of them - they stayed friends as they evolved and grew more experienced; Zack became a 2nd Class soon after. He was everything to her at that time; him and the owner of that bar, Pyua. She invited the rookie Turk on stage, once became twice, twice became at least once a week. And Angie found herself fulfilling her dream. It wasn't a big stage, but it was her stage and she loved it.

Crisis Core

During the early events of Crisis Core, Angie was mostly kept in the background rather than the front lines. She watched as Zack became close to the flower girl and to that one country boy he met - but she never delved deeper into it.
She had minor involvement in the Rhapsodos case. She felt no remorse when she heard of the destruction caused in her hometown; she never went back. In a way she was glad there were no survivors - her father deserved what he got, her mother was finally free. What else could she wish for?
Things changed. Tseng rose up to become the new director. Reno became his second in command. Zack disappeared and with him the country boy. Angie - nothing but shinra's loyal lapdog at that time - accepted it, mourned her friend and tried to move on, but she couldn't. She knew something wasn't right, yet she did nothing. Instead she watched over the flower girl for him, always in the shadows.
During the next years, Angie became a skilled and unscrupulous Turk, as was expected of the sniper. She did her missions fast and precise; there was no room for error. Outside of work she kept to herself; only with Cissnei and Pyua did she get along.
But then the call came and with it rose hope; her friend had been found and he seemed well enough - hope was crushed immediately. They were going to die; there was no way around it. She knew Cissnei was trying anyway - covering the fugitives when she could. Angie in return covered her to the best of her abilities. None of it mattered - Zack was killed anyway and they were sent to do the clean up. Cissnei and Angie broke down in eachother's arms in the heli on their way back; Zack's lifeless eyes would haunt them forever. Cissnei disappeared soon after that. Angie had an idea as to where, but she never went to check.

Final Fantasy VII

After Zack died, any and all progress Angie had made disappeared in an instant. She locked herself away, became more hostile and icy than ever; if she said something it was guaranteed to end in a fight. Cissnei was gone and with her the last friend Angie'd had in their ranks - why bother?
Zack's death was also one of a handful of events that had Angie beginning to really question her work and the company itself. Was this really worth it? Killing their own people? Dropping plates on innocent civilians just to frame Avalanche?
But Angie didn't leave - she couldn't. There was really only one way out of being a Turk, one she wasn't quite willing to take just yet. Within the mess that was Cloud and Sephiroth, Angie did her research. She wanted to know just what other horrible things the company had done and been hiding. In the process she stumbled across an older project, she instantly wished that she hadn't.Her mother had been one of many failed projects, much like Genesis and Angeal and whoever else's names she didn't know. Suddenly it made sense to Angie why they had been living right under Shinra's nose the entire time, with a Wutaian traitor no less; why her mother had lost her little sibling that day, how Tseng had known exactly where to find her once she left and how to get her to join them. It had all been planned from the get-go and it had all worked out perfectly. And still, Angie stayed with the company. When her lover Pyua got involved with Avalance, it was Angie and her intel who ensured her safety and that Shinra wouldn't catch wind of it at all. They couldn't keep Aerith safe, another loss to mourn - but it was all worth it to defeat Sephiroth, right?

Advent Children & counting

Relocated in Edge after the destruction of Midgar, Angie was among one of the countless people infected with geostigma. Initially that was the reason she was not involved in battles, but her condition worsened rapidly. Thanks to Aerith's healing rain she only just barely made it past death; believed dead by the company (thanks to a helping hand or two within their lines), she left Edge with Pyua to recover and begin a normal life elsewhere - away from prying Shinra eyes, death and destruction.
